Photos often contain more than pixels. EXIF and related metadata can include GPS coordinates, camera model, serial numbers, timestamps, software names, and copyright fields. When you share images on social media, marketplaces, or with clients, that data may travel with the file.
A private way to clean photos is to process them entirely in the browser. Remove My Metadata decodes the image, re-encodes a fresh file without supported metadata containers, then re-parses the output to verify target fields are gone.
Steps: (1) Open the Photo / EXIF tool. (2) Drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP file. (3) Inspect detected fields such as GPS and camera. (4) Click Remove metadata. (5) Wait for verification and download the cleaned file.
Tips: Prefer the trailing-slash URLs on our site for consistent indexing. Animated WebP becomes a still image after re-encode. HEIC is not supported in this release—export to JPG first if needed.
