C2PA & Content Credentials
Many AI and editing tools embed C2PA or Content Authenticity markers in the file container. This page scans for common markers, strips them by re-encoding the image, and verifies they are gone before download.
Generation parameters & AI tags
Stable Diffusion interfaces often store prompts, seeds, and model hashes in PNG text chunks. XMP may also carry digital source type or generator software. We detect and remove these supported provenance fields.
Optional fingerprint reset
Turn on Reset image fingerprint to apply invisible micro-changes so SHA-256 hashes (and reverse-image fingerprints) no longer match the original. Visual quality is preserved; this is not a claim against visual AI detectors.
What this tool cannot do
Pixel-level invisible watermarks such as SynthID, and classifiers that look only at the picture, are outside any metadata cleaner. Use this page for privacy and provenance control — not as a guarantee of platform labels.

What is an AI metadata remover?
It strips embedded data that identifies how an image was made or who generated it — C2PA credentials, AI software tags, and generation parameters — while keeping the visible pixels. This tool runs entirely in your browser.
Does it remove C2PA content credentials?
Yes for markers stored in the file container. We re-encode the image, which drops C2PA/JUMBF-style payloads, then re-scan the output. If markers remain, the result is not marked clean.
Can I remove Stable Diffusion prompt metadata?
When prompts or parameters live in PNG text chunks (for example parameters from Automatic1111-style UIs), they are detected and stripped. Always inspect the file first to see what was found.
Will this make platforms stop labeling images as AI?
No guarantee. Platforms may use visual models, account signals, or watermarks that are not metadata. This tool only controls embedded file data and optional hash changes.
Is AI metadata removal free and private?
Yes. Cleaning is free in the browser. Image bytes are not uploaded. Optional fingerprint reset also runs locally.
