PDF Document Info can expose Title, Author, Subject, Keywords, Creator, Producer, and creation/modification dates even when none of that text appears on the page. Many tools also attach a catalog XMP packet.
Upload-based cleaners send your document to a third-party server. For contracts, IDs, or internal PDFs, local processing is safer. Our PDF tool uses a browser PDF library to strip standard Info fields and catalog XMP, then reopens the file to confirm page count and missing target fields.
Steps: (1) Open the PDF Metadata tool. (2) Drop a non-encrypted PDF under 25 MB. (3) Inspect listed fields. (4) Remove metadata and verify. (5) Download the cleaned PDF.
Limits: encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected. Comments, annotations, embedded files, form data, JavaScript, and proprietary structures are outside this tool’s guarantee—use specialist tools when those matter.
